Australasian Melanoma Conference
Consumer Travel & Registration Bursary

The Australasian Melanoma Conference (AMC) Organising Committee is proud to support five consumers to attend AMC in Melbourne on 20-21 November 2026.
This is provided through a Consumer Travel & Registration Bursary.
Consumer representatives that have not previously attended a national melanoma or skin cancer conference are invited to apply for a Consumer Travel & Registration Bursary.
Diversity goals: Across the five positions, we are seeking diversity in geography (metro vs regional/rural), cultural background, age and experiences.
We are also focused on priority populations outlined in the Australian Cancer Plan, including
- People living in rural and remote areas
- People from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
Consumer: a patient, carer, or community member with lived experience of melanoma or skin cancer.
Role: attend the conference to learn, observe, engage with clinicians and researchers, engage with other consumers and consumer organisations and provide feedback to the conference organisers.
Bursary provides the following for five consumers:
- Conference Registration
- Flights
- Ground transport (airport transfers, taxis/rideshare)
- A pre-conference briefing (optional): online meeting to talk through the program, what to expect, who their contact person is on-site
- A named point of contact during the conference for questions or if they feel out of place. A contact to meet them at the start of the conference
- Debrief/feedback opportunity after the conference.
The bursary is for up to $1,000 to be spent on travel and accommodation.
Completed application forms can be emailed to info@mscan.org.au
Applications will be accepted up to Friday 9 October 2026.
