Award winners! Shaping Australia Awards at Parliament House

The Australian Centre of Excellence in Melanoma Imaging & Diagnosis (ACEMID) is undertaking world leading research into the early detection of melanoma.

MSCAN is proud to partner with the ACEMID team to conduct the research that we hope will ultimately lead to a targeted national screening program for melanoma.

Congratulations to all the researchers involved in this project for being named the winner of the Problem Solver (Panel’s Choice) category at the prestigious Shaping Australia Awards, presented by Universities Australia.

The awards ceremony was held at Parliament House on Wednesday 25 February, bringing together leaders from across the nation to celebrate research excellence and innovation that is shaping Australia’s future.
Representing ACEMID at the ceremony were Prof Monika Janda, Prof H Peter Soyer, Prof Victoria Mar and Prof Pablo Fernandez-Penas.

In the words of the ACEMID team “This award is a testament to the dedication of our researchers, clinicians, partners, and—most importantly—our participants. To everyone who has contributed to ACEMID’s work, thank you. Your involvement makes our research possible and drives meaningful impact in improving early detection and outcomes for Australians at risk of melanoma”.
